Finance Manager

We’re looking for a compassionate and determined thinker to join our team full-time as a Finance Manager. This role is a great fit for someone who can calmly manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, creative environment. This person will report directly to and work alongside the studio’s Co-Founders.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable/Receivable
• Partner with Co-Founders and departmental leadership to ensure accurate and timely client invoicing and vendor payments
• Monitor payment schedule and payment terms across all partners and accounts.

Pricing
• Partner with Co-Founders to ensure product pricing optimizes value to the client and profitability to the Studio
• Manage all pricing updates based on competitive intelligence, product differentiation, and internal analysis

Compliance
• Monitor and manage evolving tax rules and regulations
• Prepare and file sales tax payments in relevant states
• Coordinate with the Studio’s external CPA firm on all tax filings

Budgets & Expenditure
• Lead the development, implementation, and analysis of financial budgets 
• Reconcile bank accounts, receipts, and credit card statements

Payroll
• Manage payroll, commission and bonus payments, payroll tax records, employee benefits, 401k contributions, and workers' compensation audits

Reporting & Strategy

• Maintain financial records and create monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal review.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting for lighting, furniture, or high-end retail
• Ability to explain complex financial data clearly

Studio + Compensation

• This is a full-time position based in Tribeca, New York, New York. 
• Studio hours are Monday - Friday from 9 am to 6 pm
• 85-120k/annual salary based on experience
