Production Associate

In Common With is a Brooklyn-based design studio. For the most part, we make lights. We’re looking for a self-starter with dynamic interests to join our team full-time as a Production Associate. This person will report directly to and work alongside the studio’s Director of Operations.


We train our team to prepare them to do their best work. We ask that you provide your own nearly obsessive love of detail, communication skills, curiosity, efficiency, and kindness.

Key Responsibilities

Product Assembly:
• Assemble, wire, and test light fixtures.
• Follow detailed assembly instructions, QC guidelines,  processes, and procedures

Packing & Shipping:
• Prepare and package orders for domestic and international shipments.

Stock Replenishment & Organization:
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment/tools according to established procedure
• Assist in full studio inventory count in both our studio and warehouse spaces
• Assist Shipping / Receiving Assistant in receiving shipments (i.e., inventory transfer, packaging material, or larger palletized shipments) 
• Assist in QC audit of products when necessary.

General:
• Assist in studio/show product installation when necessary at either our Gowanus, Tribeca locations and or offsite location.

Qualifications

• Outstanding organization skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, creative work environment
• Friendly and personable :)
• Experience with wiring, electrical work, or furniture building is a plus but not required
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds multiple times a day
• Hand dexterity
• Ability to stand 90% of each work day while performing job duties and responsibilities

Studio + Compensation

• This is a full-time position based in Gowanus, Brooklyn
• 40 hours/week. Our studio hours are Monday - Friday from 9 am to 6 pm
• 50-60k/annual salary based on experience
